Bartender, Beverage Manager
About Shaun Traxler
Shaun Traxler, only 31, already boasts a decade and a half career in food and beverage. At age 16, he began bartending in rural Michigan; translating methods and flavors from his very early home-kitchen experience to the bar glass. After tending bar for a few years in Michigan, he went on to make magic in Panama City Beach, Orlando, and Fayetteville, Arkansas. Shaun created an ultra-successful cocktail and beer program at Sideways, which, under his tutelage was named the #34 college bar in the country by College Ranker and the #4 college bar in the country by MSN. After six fun-filled years, he stepped away to run a new concept called Vault: a high-end bourbon and progressive cocktail haven that is known for doing everything in-house from bitters, to vermouth, to amaro. Throughout his career, Shaun has garnered a wealth of attention and awards for his abilities behind the stick. He was won many local and regional competitions, had several cocktail recipes featured in magazines, books, and television, has been hired to bartend at high profile conferences and festivals, and has been selected on multiple occasions for exclusive trips and opportunities based on his professional merit. Shaun hopes his passion for progression, science and his unrelenting creativity will lead to continued success in his industry.
