About Nicole Karr
Nicole is a Professional Chef, Food Stylist & Cookbook Author born and raised in Queens, New York. She holds a degree in Culinary Arts from the New York Restaurant School where she graduated top of her class. She has traveled through Italy working at Trattoria Al Pirata in Ferarra and attended Academia Barilla in Parma. While there she learned that the fundamental ingredients and techniques of authentic Italian Cuisine are not only basic principles, but a way of life. In New York City, she furthered her culinary experience at Morimoto, Cafeteria and Glenmere Mansion (Relais & Chateaux) as their Sous Chef. Soon after leaving Glenmere, she worked on Vinalhaven island (15 miles off the coast of Maine) as Executive Chef. Her Culinary repetoir includes working at Michelin rated Faro in Brooklyn and for Scott Conant at Fusco. Nicole has appeared on the Food Network's "Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell" & "Chopped". Currently she works as a freelance Chef in NYC.
