About David Bancroft
David Bancroft, 2017 'Iron Chef' winner, is the Executive Chef/Partner of Acre Restaurant in Auburn, Alabama and a 2016 James Beard Award nominee – Best Chef in the South. Born in Alabama but raised in San Antonio, Texas, David’s passion for cooking began at an early age, smoking brisket and making BBQ. David is a self-taught chef, farmer and forager who showcases the sustainable ingredients provided by local farmers, fisherman in Alabama. His new BBQ spot, Bow & Arrow is set to open in Auburn, November 5.
