About Katie Heller

Once upon a snow day, back around 1988 (I was 9), I saw a box of cornstarch in the cupboard with a lemon meringue pie recipe on it and thought, ‘I can make that!’ And so I did. (This also began several years of obsession with meringues.) I’ve pretty much been baking stuff ever since – from midnight bread and Nutella parties in college, to cookies, birthday cakes shaped like cars and castles, wedding treats, monkey bread, and anything else anyone can think up (including, of course, meringues). I love baking because I love feeding people – nothing brings quite the same happiness as fresh warm cookies, or just the right slice of cheesecake, so I hope you’ll let me bake for you!
