About Rachael Fried
Rachael is an artist, social worker, community organizer, and designer. Her focus is on designing to approach taboos and reduce stigmas and biases. In addition to Shabbat dinners, Rachael loves monsters, puppets, and legitimately ice-breaking ice breakers (table-wide small talk not included). Rachael currently serves as the co-director of JQY Women's* Programming, social worker in the JQY Teen Program, and is an Eighteen:22 Fellow - a global network of leaders working to creatively change the next chapter of LGBTQ Jewish life. She uses her paintbrush, and all the other tools in her kit, to continue making the Jewish community a place that is inclusive and welcoming to all.
