About Daniel Grothues

My Cooking Style: I love giving familiar dishes a little twist and extra. The fine grocery stores and restaurants, the season and munchies, the people and countries... are always a great inspiration to develop a menu and cook a delicious meal . My Culinary Experience: Ever since I've been a child I baked and cooked, prepared breakfasts or lunches. And ever since then I experimented with recipes, ingredients and settings. Strangely enough I didn't learn to be a professional chef BUT in my free time cooking and baking is what I do. So it was only natural to me to start an underground restaurant in 2011 where I cook a 5 course dinner for 10 people once a month. My Three Favorite Ingredients: lots of passion, garlic and lime
