About Jean Cadwell
I started cooking professionally at a worker-owned restaurant in Minnesota called the New Riverside Cafe about twenty years ago. I have been cooking in many capacities since then. I have been a teacher, a baker, a personal chef. My main interest is creating worker-owned co-operatives. Food is what I know best. People who want to feed other people are seeking to contribute to the life force of others. Co-operatives are often centered around food. I don't think it is a coincidence. Meeting around a table is an gracious and fun way to build community. Making co-operative businesses is an extension of that concern for other people, concern for community. It is an effort to build fulfilling lives for all who wish to participate.
