About Subhanu Samarajiva

I'm a home cook who loves going to the farmer's market and getting as much produce as I can carry - bonus points if I can't recognize the vegetable. I grew up in the US where my parents made Sri Lankan food for dinner every night, but with their own twist based on local ingredients. I also got to learn from my grandmother's kitchen in a village in Sri Lanka, where somehow with a wood burning stove she would put together huge 20+ dish feasts for my extended family on special occasions. I think Sri Lankan food is uniquely spicy, varied, healthy and delicious and I'm excited to share my cultural heritage with you!
