My roommates and I LOVE hosting intimate Friday Night Dinners at our Brooklyn apartment. We crack open a bottle of wine (or two or three), eat some delicious homemade food (chicken soup, salmon, and some form of kale are always on the menu), sit back and swap stories on the topic du jour: books, politics, travel, dating, movies, anything. We believe that Shabbat should be a time to disconnect from technology and to connect with friends. Ours is an informal, relaxing atmosphere - and as long as there's good wine and good company, we are in good shape!
