About Sara Haston
I'm fascinated about everything that has to do with food; how it's grown, the way it's prepared, the manner in which we enjoy it, and how it impacts our health. Growing up I celebrated Shabbat every friday night with my Jewish family in Texas. My mom would bake and cook a meal, everyone would gather around the table, and we would relax and rejoice. This experience instilled in me the value of slow food eating. I think food tastes better when you share it. I honestly do. I think flavors are enhanced and accentuated when in the presence of new and familiar faces. Nothing gives me greater joy than curating a meal that brings people together and nourishes them nutritionally. I feel privileged to educate the community on local, seasonal cooking in my role as a Market Chef for a farmers' market association.
