I started cooking out of necessity. Though I was always interested in food, I did not get a chance to cook when I lived at home. Once I came to the USA, being vegetarian in a small town did not offer interesting options to eat out. And so started my kitchen chronicles... To me, the kitchen is my lab. Not surprising that I look at it that way...as I hold a doctorate in environmental engineering. To me cooking is both an art and a science, both of which I am passionate about. I am excited to especially share home style delicacies rarely found in popular restaurants; bringing together such meals with international flavors and seasonal ingredients and my quirky twists! I am looking forward to learning more and meeting fellow foodies.
