About Ed Quish

My best food memory is being a kid and coming home from little league starving and eating my grandmothers cold leftover baked ziti straight from the fridge. Food never tasted so delicious, and the world never felt so whole. That's what I think about every time I put together a meal. A few years ago, travelled to Italy where I learned some fundamentals of traditional Italian cuisine, and since then I've been cooking in Italian, Southern, and New American restaurants in NYC. What I've learned is that when you know where your food comes from, when you're in touch with the seasons, and when you prepare something you love, you're in for a wonderful meal. When I'm not cooking, I love to read (lots of journalism, history, politics), practice blues harmonica, and watch old movies.
