About Jeremy Bloom
I enjoy modest food for sharing that sparks conversation and brings new people together. I strive to bring not only the the flavors but also the hospitality of Turkey and beyond back to my Red Hook home kitchen. In high school I lived in rural Turkey for a summer where I fell in love with Turkish cuisine, music, and hospitality. When I'm not returning to "my village" outside of İnegöl or traveling around the Balkans, I love to bring the tastes and hospitality of Turkey and beyond back to my Red Hook home kitchen. Out of the oven, I work as a professional sound designer and play accordion with NYC Balkan party band Tipsy Oxcart. I love mountains, pomegranate molasses, my accordion Fabio, homemade apricot brandy, and whistling.
