About Erika Laurion
I am both a nutritionist and a healthy chef and my primary intention is to inspire people to cook to claim their health. I have received my Masters from the Institute of Human Nutrition at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and I am certified by the Board for Nutrition Specialists and licensed by the New York State Education Department. I am passionate about teaching people how to cook nutrient dense and traditional food as well as providing resources and tools to do so. I do this both in my private home/BnB or in my clients' kitchen. I can discuss the logistics of creating a healthy and enjoyable eating environment while providing tips for how to deal with barriers to change. Two years ago, I became the head Chef for Destination Detox by Escape to Shape. This is a week-long program with a 2-day juice cleanse where I serve a combination of raw food, juices and farm-to-table meals that are simple, organic and delicious.
