About Rowena Balwit
I am an enthusiastic amateur cook. I grew up in a family of seven, so cooking for dinner party sized groups doesn't phase me. I discovered cooking while I was living in Madrid after college. Culinary highlights from my years in Spain as well as subsequent travels to 11 other countries outside the U.S. still inspire the meals I make. Living in Los Angeles, I am fortunate to have access to fresh and delicious produce year round, and I try to make seasonal, local produce a focus of almost everything I cook. I am also a baker, mostly of bread.
