About Nigel Henderson
Nigel Henderson is a Los Angeles native with roots in New Orleans and also a Morehouse College alumni. Ever since he was a child he has always had a passion for the culinary arts. After departing a successful career in the entertainment industry, Nigel attended and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu placing him in some of the most buzzed about kitchens from Los Angeles to New Orleans. In New Orleans, he had the privilege of learning under the tutelage of iconic Chef Leah Chase and her grandson, Chef Edgar “Dooky” Chase IV. In Los Angeles, Nigel worked at The Kitchen for Exploring Foods and The Peninsula Beverly Hills. More recently he served as the Executive Chef for WME/IMG’s Corporate Restaurant, Jack & Ben’s. Nigel currently curates culinary events through his company The Feast LA, produces & hosts The Gumbo Pot Podcast, and services several private chef clients.
