About Rachel Goulet
I am the executive chef at Amali in midtown Manhattan. On select weekends, I host an intimate, communal, hyper seasonal dinner party in a converted apartment above Amali. I prepare a five-course meal in the open kitchen next to the dining table- it's an awesome way to interact with guests and tell them the stories behind the dishes they're enjoying. Sopra embraces centuries of Mediterranean custom: new and old friends gathered around a shared feast of seasonal ingredients. Diners converse with the sommelier, owner and chef before the dinner before sitting down to a five course, multi-dish dinner.
