About Dottie Price

Some of my most enjoyable moments have been while sharing food with family and friends. Gathering and preparing the food is always a joy! I'm from northeastern Louisiana, a part of the Mississippi Delta, and a lesser known part of our state, with its celebrated cuisine. We were fortunate to have fresh veggies, often from our yards. Venison and rabbit, hunted in nearby woods, often found their way to our tables. Fish, freshly caught from the river over the levee, were lovingly prepared by folks who were very much at home in a kitchen. I started catering 15 years ago and soon began providing foods at regional events--county fairs and festivals--from Massachusetts to California. I think Oakland's warehouse district is overdue for its transformation and would like to be a part of that.
