About Slade Rushing
Slade Rushing began his cooking career juggling positions at both Mr. B's in the French Quarter and Dakota on the north shore. He would later work in San Francisco and then New York with another stop in New Orleans in between. In San Francisco, he worked alongside Donald Link to help Traci Des Jardins open Jardinière. Rushing and his wife ended up cooking side-by-side in New York at Jack's Luxury Oyster Bar, a tiny location with an enormous reputation. Rushing then moved to MiLa and was a James Beard award finalist for five years in a row and in 2014, he joined Brennan's. Under his leadership, Brennan’s earned accolades from both local and national food media, including three years of inclusion as one of the “Top 10 Best New Orleans Restaurants” as chosen by NOLA.com, The Times-Picayune food critic Brett Anderson.
