About ann blankenship

I"ve been involved in community arts and event production for over a decade. During this time I"ve assisted with and produced events for Carnaval San Francisco, Mission Creek Music & Arts Festival and CONVERGENCE Int’l Alternative Music & Arts Festival. I"m a former commercial cook that has worked at some of the Bay Area"s best kitchens. I apprenticed at Green"s and Kafe Kati, worked as a production and nutritional cook at Project Open Hand and was a pastry chef/cook at The Carnelian Room, Specialty"s bakery and Kimball"s East night club. Best advice I"ve acquired from my years working in commercial kitchens: 1 - Cook to satisfy your guests and not your ego - [keep it simple] 2 - Make the food taste good - one word - SALT [taste as you go!] 3 - Don"t "F" it up!!! [ respect the work and pay attention]
