About Amanda Dugay
I've always enjoyed experimenting with recipes and throwing dinner parties. I started professionally cooking as a sous-chef for a friend who was a personal chef to high-end clients in San Francisco. Her vision with food was detailed and I learned a lot from her. I also took on a cooking gig for a caterer in beautiful Big Sur who would cook for bands that played at the Henry Miller Library. I've had the pleasure of cooking for The Flaming Lips, The Pixies, Thee Oh Sees, Grizzly Bear, Beach House, to name a few! Over the last few years I have worked with a catering company in the city as a creative outlet and for extra income doing something I really love. Last year I finally started my first food pop-up with two friends where we cooked every Saturday night at El Rio. We were featured in SF Eater two weeks into our adventure. We were called Balls Deep Arancini and we had an amazing learning experience but respectively ended it. I am a foodie and love to go to new restaurants and to get inspired. One day I hope to open a restaurant myself.
