About Thomas Parker
Growing up about an hour away from downtown Cleveland in Warren Ohio, Chef Thomas got his start cooking at the ripe age of 15 in a local diner. He continued cooking while going to college at Youngstown State University. This was where he realized that there was no way he could have a desk job and decided to combine his knowledge of cooking and the management techniques he learned in school. Thomas found himself working under Chef Frank Hurley at Cleveland State University who is still one of his mentors to this day. He then took his studies of food around the country to learn and even moved to Florida for a year to work with a great team of Chefs at one of Marriott’s top 5 resorts in Ponte Vedra Beach. He has been back in Cleveland for the last 6 years, most notably as the Chef de Cuisine at The Metropolitan at the 9. Currently, he is the chef de cuisine at The Burnham Restaurant in the Hilton Cleveland Downtown.
