About Kyo Pang

Kyo Pang is a Restaurateur and the Founder and Executive Chef of Kopitiam, a community-driven Malaysian restaurant acclaimed for bringing Baba Nyonya cuisine to the US palate. Pang was named as Chef of the Year in the 2018 Eater Awards and twice nominated as James Beard Semifinalist (2019, 2020). Kopitiam has received wide acclaim, including being selected as a 2018 critic's pick from Pete Wells in the NY Times where he called it “almost unfailingly terrific” and being named a Bon Appetit Magazine Hot Ten restaurant in 2019.
