About Tokyo Diner SF

Chef Isao Akiyama was born and raised in west side of Tokyo, Japan. 15 years of culinary experience across the globe. Started working in the kitchen as dishwasher in daytime with attending culinary school at night time at age 25. Curiosity and enthusiasm brought him to experience several types of kitchen and city: Japanese seafood restaurant in Tokyo, ocean side of small town Cecina in Tuscany, California cuisine in Los Angeles, to even farm-to-table in San Francisco.
