About Erick Williams
In the heart of Chicago’s Hyde Park community, Virtue Restaurant & Bar unites Erick Williams’ fine dining expertise, his love of Southern cuisine and his insatiable study of history and art as they relate to food culture. Opened in November 2018, the restaurant is Williams’ first solo concept after a 20+-year career at the venerable mk The Restaurant. Virtue has been lauded nationwide, and Williams has been honored to present at a range of high-profile industry, philanthropic and civic events. In 2020, he received a coveted Award nomination by the James Beard Foundation in the Best Chef Great Lakes category. Outside of the kitchen, he is devoted to making a positive impact on the future of Chicago’s inner-city youth.
