About Julie Qiu

Julie Qiu is the founder of In A Half Shell, a website focused on oyster appreciation and self-described Oyster Sommelier. She is the co-author of the 33 Oysters on the Half Shell tasting journal and hosts the Around the World in 80 Oysters webcast. Julie teaches oyster shucking workshops, masterclasses, and oyster & sake pairing classes. Julie has been featured by Vogue, The Chicago Tribune, Saveur, Food & Wine, NPR, and Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix.
