Hot Spots to Dine Outside (and the Dishes to Order)

With the weather starting to warm up, we pulled together some of the restaurants on Chefs Feed that have great outdoor dining options, plus the dishes chefs order when they head outside.

Sepia at The Purple Pig, recommended by chef Tony Mantuano, who says this cuttlefish dish seasoned with rosemary and almonds is "perfectly cooked and hard to resist," but warns to go early to snag a seat.


Ahi burger at Gott's Roadside, a warm weather favorite on a Sunday afternoon for chef Ruggero Gadaldi: "Rare ahi is served on a brioche egg bun with artisan coleslaw and wasabi mayo. Eat this with their sweet potato fries and a pint of beer, and enjoy!"


Million Dollar Chicken at The Standard Grill, recommended by chef Eric Ripert who says he loves dining at this "beautiful and fun restaurant just under the High Line. This whole roast chicken for two people lives up to its name."


Anson mills farro salad at Georges Ocean Terrace, a "fresh and light salad that fits in perfectly with the restaurant's ocean setting," says chef Karen Krasne.


Bone marrow at Sugarcane Raw Bar and Grill, recommended by chef Sean Brasel who says the combo of oxtail marmalade and bone marrow "make a complete heaven of richness between the fat in the bone marrow and the tang from the marmalade."


Pork liver pâté at Contigo, such a good version that chef Takuya Matsumoto says "I want to add it to my cereal to start my day right! I want to brush my teeth with it! Okay, not so much that, but you get the point."
