Here at ChefsFeed, our mission has been steadfast–to build a media platform that supports restaurants, bars, chefs, culinary and beverage professionals. This is an unprecedented time in our lives and we're working to make sense of it all. In our search for understanding, like many of you, we're left with many questions. One that keeps coming up is how can we support our country's amazing culinary community which has been seriously impacted by the onslaught of COVID-19? Here's what we've come up with and how you can help:
Call Your Reps
The restaurant industry needs immediate economic relief from the government. If we can bail out banks and the automotive industry, then we MUST bail out the restaurant industry. 15 million jobs hang in the balance. Call your Representative and your Senators and demand that the restaurant industry is part of the federal stimulus plan. You can be connected to the capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121.
Not a fan of phone calls? There are other ways to make your voice heard. Go to Change.org and sign this petition or text Resitbot at 50409, it'll figure out who represents you and turn your text into an email, fax, or letter, and deliver it to your representatives.
Order Takeout or Delivery
Even during these uncertain times, many restaurants are still ready to serve you. We've pulled together this collection to help you find what local restaurants across the country are open for take-out, curbside pick-up, or delivery near you. Buy Gift Certificates
Show your favorite spots a little love and buy a gift card, think of it as giving small businesses a mini-loan. Bonus it'll give you an excellent meal to look forward to.
Buy Restaurant Merch
In uncertain times it's important to practice self-care. One option that you can enjoy from the comfort of your couch: retail therapy. Now's the time to buy the cozy hoodie, shirt, tote bag, etc you've been eyeing from your favorite bar, restaurant, or coffee shop.
Leave A Review
We all got some extra time at home on our hands, so if you're looking for something to do why not take a few minutes to write a positive online review about your favorite cafes, bars, and restaurants? It's an easy way to help since local businesses really rely on the buzz that reviews can generate.
