ChefsFeed is teaming up with Field Roast™, an artisanal plant-based meat and cheese brand, to help independent restaurants recover from the economic hardship brought on by COVID-19. All summer long, we’re hosting a series of free virtual cooking classes featuring well-known chefs from across North America. Field Roast is donating a total of $250,000 to the participating chefs to support them, their staff and their restaurants as they rebound and rebuild; each chef will use the funds in a way they feel best supports their reopening efforts.

The five-city tour kicks off July 8-10 in Seattle with chefs Edouardo Jordan, Mutsuko Soma, and Eric Rivera and continues to Chicago, Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles.

"Restaurants are a critical lifeline and we must find ways to support our staff, purveyors, and farmers,” said chef Edouardo Jordan. “We’re like the nerve center brain of a hospitality industry that has taken such a big hit since the pandemic outbreak. As a chef and business owner, I have a tremendous weight on my shoulders. There are so many changes to protocol and safety now that require increased, unexpected and new expenses. These funds are exactly what we need to help bridge that gap."

In each live class, the chefs will guide you through recipes that use versatile ingredients to create big, bold, and unique flavors. The recipes will feature Field Roast’s artisanal plant-based meats and cheeses, like Smoked Apple Sage Sausage and Creamy Original Chao Slices.

Join Field Roast and ChefsFeed in the fight to #SaveRestaurants. During the virtual class signup, make a donation to support the Independent Restaurant Coalition (IRC), an organization lobbying for legislative change. Your contribution will go towards our fight to save local, independent restaurants affected by COVID-19 across the country. ChefsFeed will match all donations up to $25,000.

You can also help by emailing Congress — it only takes a minute. Join us in demanding they create an Independent Restaurant Revitalization Fund to help independent restaurants get through this crisis.
