Thanks for your interest in hosting virtual classes through ChefsFeed Experiences (CFX). This is the first step. You’ve entered our host selection process. Below is some critical Q&A that details how it all works. We have a high demand incoming from culinary pros like yourself to host experiences—so we need you to please read carefully all the way to the end.
Q: WHAT IS CFX?
A: CFX stands for "ChefsFeed Experiences" and it is a FREE ticketing and hosting platform created for culinary pros in our ChefsFeed network. You can host any type of culinary experience and sell tickets for guests to purchase.
Q: HOW WILL I GET PAID?
A: The best news is that YOU keep 100% of all tickets sold! Other you-know-who companies aim to build their businesses by taking money out of your pocket. We only put money into your pocket. Payouts to Hosts are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday via ACH (we use Stripe for processing) after the completion of your hosted experience. You will need to link up your bank information in your Host profile (more later). How much money you can make is directly related to how many tickets are sold.
Q: HOW WILL I GET PEOPLE TO BUY TICKETS?
A: An active social media presence certainly helps the most. We recommend >1,000 followers on your most active social account and/or have an email list of clients/guests to invite. Our host selection process takes this into consideration (to be transparent). However, this is only a recommendation and not necessarily a deal-breaker if you do not meet this criterion. Note that the most successful chefs—who sell hundreds of tickets per class—are those who put effort into self-promotion.
Q: HOW WILL THE LIVESTREAM WORK?
A: Tickets are promoted/sold via ChefsFeed Experiences (or CFX as we tend to call it). The actual livestreams leverage your choice of YouTube or Zoom (for now). Most Hosts select YouTube for many reasons that we can elaborate on during our onboarding phase. When setting up your livestream class/experience, you MUST have a strong and consistent internet/WIFI signal. You will not be successful if you attempt to use a cellular connection or have a weak internet connection from your kitchen, for instance. Also, you MUST have either a WIFI-connected laptop with functioning webcam and microphone that is <5 years old OR a smartphone with video capability that is <3 years old. Anything older just doesn't hack it, so don’t bother.
We want you to be successful. We need you to acknowledge that you have read and understand the above. Please reply to the email you received confirming your continued interest. We'll then proceed with the host selection process and, if chosen, we’ll send full instructions on next steps to get you setup!
