The Northern Chefs Alliance Cometh!

Announcing pretty much the most epic dinner of 2016 in San Francisco — California Dreaming.

We've partnered with Northern Chefs Alliance to bring it to the West Coast for the first time — ever. Picture this: a one-time only movable feast running through State Bird Provisions, The Progress, and The Workshop, featuring over a dozen of the hottest chefs in North America. The proceeds from the event benefit local non-profit La Cocina.

"The Northern Chefs Alliance’s mission is to educate and effect positive change in the restaurant industry,” says the think-tank’s founder, Chef Matthew Jennings of Boston’s Townsman. “This is the first time we've held our collaborative chef-driven event in the West, and we’re thrilled to bring our communal spirit and this diverse and talented group to San Francisco this year."

The Canadian and American chefs collaborating in this year’s event include: hosts Chefs Nicole Krasinski and Stuart Brioza (San Francisco’s State Bird Provisions and The Progress); Chefs Grae Nonas and Michael Fojtasek (Austin’s Olamaie); Chef Scott Vivian (Toronto’s Beast); Chef Gabriel Rucker (Portland’s Le Pigeon and Little Bird); Chefs Connie DeSousa and John Jackson (Calgary’s Charcut); Chef Ned Bell (Vancouver’s The Four Seasons and Ocean Wise); Chef Jose Enrique (San Juan’s Jose Enrique); Chef Jeremy Charles (St. John's The Merchant Tavern and Raymond's); and Chef Matthew Jennings (Boston’s Townsman).

"California Dreaming happens when a group of passionate, skilled and diverse chefs conceptualize and execute a locally-sourced and special menu to showcase the Bay Area’s impressive bounty,” explains host Chef Stuart Brioza. “We are honored to open up our kitchen and work with this incredibly talented and collaborative team of chefs for this once-in-a-lifetime dinner,” adds fellow host chef Nicole Krasinski.

Tickets for the exclusive “California Dreaming” dinner event on August 7, 2016, are now available for purchase at

Sponsors of the dinner and weekend festivities include Williams-Sonoma, Almanac Beer, Llano Seco Ranch, Omnivore Salt, and ChefsFeed.

Go forth and rage. It's SO on.
