Here's A Mixtape We Got From The Brain of a Really Kickass Chef

Did your day just get better? It DID, didn't it?!

That chef's name is Michael Scelfo, and he currently shares his phenomenal brain with the good people of Massachusetts through his food at Alden & Harlow and the newly-opened Waypoint — two kitchens powered by this here playlist. It's got everything good happening in hip-hop right now, and it's about to be your go-to soundtrack for life in general.

Listen now.

1. Solange, A Seat at the Table, "Borderline (An Ode To Self Care)" ft. Q-Tip
Favorite album of the year and my fave song, start to finish classic.

2. J Cole, For Your Eyes Only, "Foldin' Clothes"
Another contender for me, totally sobering and addictive.

3. The Life of Pablo, Kanye, "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1"
Hate on Kanye all you want, but he’s the most influential hip-hop artist of the last 20 years, and I don't have a single friend that doesn’t lose their mind when this track comes on.

4. Malibu, Anderson .Paak, "The Dreamer"
Hands down my favorite new artist. Can’t not sing along at the top of your lungs on this one.

5. Yes Lawd, Anderson .Paak, "Get Bigger/Do U Luv"
Anderson again, this is the best hip-hop album if the year.

6. Chance the Rapper, Coloring Book, "Blessings"
Love the freshness that Chance brings to the game. "Blessings" is the track for right now in our world.

7. Beyoncé, Lemonade, "All Night"
Don't piss off Yoncé, seriously. Also, the one song you just had to sing along to.

8. A Tribe Called Quest, We Got It From Here, "Mobius"
This album restored faith that boom bap was not dead, and this track shows that Busta is still the feature beast.

9. Kendrick Lamar, Untitled Unmastered, "Track 3"
You can argue that Kendrick is the best in the game right now. Not much else to say.

10. Frank Ocean, Blonde, "Nights"
Moody & trippy, this wasn’t what a lot of us were expecting, and the more you listen, the better it gets. Frank is waiting on us to catch up.

11. Bruno Mars, 24k Magic, "Chunky"
This album crushes from start to finish, hard to pick one song.

12. The Weeknd, "Starboy"
Sidewalks, Kendrick & The Weeknd, ok?

13. Common, Black America Again, "Red Wine"
He didn't pull any punches on this album, and it's one of his best. This track featuring Sad from The Internet, my favorite band right now, is a nice interlude.

14. Kid Cudi, Passion, Pleasure, & Demon Slayin’, "By Design, ft. Andre Benjamin"
I love Cudi, & Andre was the best feature artist of 2016. Everything he was on was gold.

15. ScHoolboy Q, Blank Face LP, "THat Part, ft. Kanye"
Love this album, and this track is always in rotation.
