Ori Menashe at Bestia

Ori Menashe is the chef/co-owner of Bestia. Born in Los Angeles and raised mostly in Israel, he experienced fine dining earlier than most. On family vacations to France, he ate at the restaurants of Ducasse and Robuchon. Those early, exquisite meals had a lasting impact. After completing his requisite Israeli military service, he returned to the City of Angels, finally set free to pursue a career in food.

From My Menu

Chef Bruce Kalman reviews Agnolotti alla vaccinara at Bestia
$$$ | Italian
"This is one of the best pasta dishes in L.A. The cacao pasta dough pairs so well with the rich oxtail, and the dish as a whole is just so soulful."
Chef Nathan Lyon reviews Grilled whole branzino at Bestia
$$$ | Italian
"I love how chef Ori Menashe grills the fish whole, keeping the moisture and integrity of the fish intact, and then complements the branzino’s delicious flavor with olives, lemon, and fresh marjoram. Simplicity at it’s best. If you’ve ever been hesitant to order fish for fear that it will arrive dry, lacking flavor, and void of acidity, Bestia will change your mind. "
