Bio

Chef Mark Woodruff cooks with both soul, and memories of the flavors he grew up with. Growing up in Texas he creates boldly flavored, deeply satisfying dishes at his restaurant MADE in Sarasota, on Florida’s Gulf Coast. He also shares an exuberant, approachable cooking style and love for the front of house as well.

Brisket Benedict
"The flavored here are SICK!! Toasty English muffin, jalapeño jack cheese, billionaire candied bacon, peppermilk sausage gravy, sweet corn hash, roasted beef brisket, chipotle hollandaise. Best breakfast dish in Sarasota."
Grouper and caprese sliders
"These guys come on house made brioche rolls, the grouper is blackened on a bed of Napa cabbage. Other is organic chicken breast, local tomato, fresh creamy motz, with a basil mayo. Both were fantastic! #savorsarasota"
Lila Tortellini
"A true gem, Lila takes time to do everything perfect. House made tortellini filled with "yes" house made ricotta, finished with spring peas, peeled cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, a citrus EVOO- dish was to die for. #savorsarasota"
Hidden Fjord Salmon
"First stop of #savorsarasota tour, Salmon seared and seasoned to perfection. Balsamic poached pear with apricot walnut mousse was delish. The butternut squash was both creamy and crunchy added a nice texture to dish. Great job by Chef Jose."
Shrimp Salad
"If you haven't stopped by a Daiquiri Deck lately, there have been some changes in the kitchen. This will be a dish on their #savorsarasota lunch menu. Nicely marked shrimp over a flavorful salad of broccoli sprouts cabbage, with a wasabi mayo. Great!"
Pork belly
"Amazing dish. It's a 15 spiced 5 day cured all natural Niman Ranch pork belly. Tender, crispy, and delicious. When I had it, served over a sweet potato hash topped with runny fried egg."
