"We're cataloging our early ice cream scoops! 🔖The first patent for an ice cream scoop was filed in 1876 by a Pennsylvania Soda Fountain owner, William Clewell.🥄✨ The scoop was actually conical in shape with a small key to release the ice cream! 🗝🍦Our collection of conical scoops dates from Clewell's first to the 1940s."

"This is the ice cream we serve at Kennett, and when I visit the Fountain in Old City, where the flavors change frequently, I consider myself lucky if I'm able to get my hands on scoops of black raspberry and maple-walnut. Market Street could be on fire; I'm not moving until I finish my ice cream."
