"Joe Beef is my favorite place to eat. I go here every year for my birthday. Dave and Fred seem like they're just two huge truckers, but they cook with great precision and their food has an almost feminine touch. This open-faced toast is two feet long and full of smoked fish, pickled eggs, tartare, oysters, salads, and other toppings. The acidity is balanced, the toppings are light, and the different seafood components are fun to eat."
