Brett Cooper at Aster

Bio

Brett Cooper is the chef/owner of Aster. He began his culinary career at 17 as a prep cook in Colorado. After refining his fine-dining experiences in San Francisco's best restaurants, he moved to a yet unknown Outerlands and undertook the new challenge of adapting his fine-dining techniques to a casual setting. By incorporating a deep appreciation for authentic products with classic and modern cooking techniques and fresh perspective, he transformed an out-of-the-way cafe into a dining destination.

From My Menu

Chef Heidi Gibson reviews POTATO DUMPLINGS, MAITAKE, BRUSSELS, COMTÉ, RYE at Aster

Mission
"The menu changes seasonally at Aster, and you should go for the tasting menu, but if the potato dumplings are on the list then make sure to order them. The maitake mushrooms and comte cheese turned this into an umami-licious flavor bomb and everyone at my table was fighting over the last dumpling. "
