Mourad Lahlou at Mourad

Bio

Mourad Lahlou came to the United States to study economics at San Francisco State University. From My Menu

Chef Michael Tusk reviews Moroccan carrot salad at Aziza

"The carrot salad is part Moroccan, part Michel Bras—and is probably one of the best vegetable dishes I've eaten in some time. Also try the great desserts from Melissa Chou, who happened to work at Quince before we moved."

"Aziza is an awesome restaurant. Chef owner Mourad Lahlou and chef de cuisine Louis Maldonado are both very talented and serve beautiful, tasty Moroccan cuisine with a modern sensibility."
Chef Lena Kwak reviews Chicken wings at Aziza

"My favorite parts of a chicken are the wings. This place takes this popular bar food item and elevates it into a more sophisticated dish, pairing it with compressed watermelons."
Chef Charlie Kleinman reviews Any cocktail at Aziza

"This place has such a cool wine list, and I've still never tried anything on it. There are just too many amazing cocktails, and they change so often that I can never get sick of one."

"Melissa Chou is easily one of the most talented pastry chefs right now. Every time I make it out to Aziza, she prepares something interesting and unique with seasonal fruit that blows me away. Mourad's got his stuff down, too."
