Chef Marianne Sundquist reviews Salada at Fat Rice
$$ | Chinese | Asian | Fusion
Logan Square
"This is anything but your typical side salad: gorgeous crisp greens, decadent croutons, Parrano cheese, tiny olives, and a mango port vinaigrette. It's a salad that delivers a delicious and satisfying range of textures and flavors."
Chef Jason Vincent reviews Chili clam at Fat Rice
$$ | Chinese | Asian | Fusion
Logan Square
"Fat Rice is a mishmash of European and Asian flavors. It’s like spice trade cuisine, and it’s very smart and delicious. One of many things I love here is the chili clam. It’s served in a clam shell with angel hair pasta and garlic butter with braised and chopped clam meat, then topped with really fine strips of fried clam and a lemon wedge on the side. It’s so simple and so good."
Chef Jamie Bissonnette reviews Sardines escabeche at Fat Rice
$$ | Chinese | Asian | Fusion
Logan Square
"Fat rice is a very very special place. The sardines and the mackerel are mind blowingly delicious."
