Hand-ladled ricotta
"The dish comes with two tiny cast-iron Straub crocks. One contains warm, made-to-order ricotta made with grass-fed Ohio whole milk. The other holds garlicky greens that aren't mushy nor crunchy but just right. The perfection is in the simplicity of composition and quality ingredients—every flavor shines. I often order this as the main course after starting with whole grilled artichokes."

"Splayed fillets of perfectly cooked trout covered in salty capers are caramelized from the fryer. A warm, cool salad of crisp haricots verts with al dente fingerlings and a smattering of Kalamatas keeps the dish light but deeply satisfying. As perfect as the dish is, two things make it even more delightful: the lighting—overhead and right on the food, it makes everything below glisten—and the price. It’s hard to find well-prepared fish in Columbus, or anywhere, under $35. This one is $25."
