"This might be the reason why I asked Jen Jasinski to marry me. This dish of perfectly cooked pork belly crisped in the pizza oven and served over a curried ci-ci bean purée is luxurious in all the right ways. The fresh bacon has been on the menu at Rioja since the beginning, and I hope it never comes off. The expertly crafted wine list is, of course, heavily focused on the Rioja region of Spain and is always worth checking out."

"These beignets are some of the tastiest I've ever had. Being from New Orleans, it's a tough task to make a better beignet but Rioja did it right! The goat cheese and fig filling, along with the sweet port reduction, were a great compliment to the crispy, soft bite-sized doughnuts. Also make sure to order the "fresh bacon" pork belly—it literally melts before it hits your tongue."
