Sussex Pond pudding
"The Sussex Pond pudding by chef Mark Cohen is probably one of the most surprisingly delicious dishes I've tasted in years. It's a sweet and savory steamed pastry full of warm lemon slices and crème fraîche. You can put crème fraîche on just about anything and I'll like it."

"I go to Lawrence almost every other Sunday for brunch. It's my favourite place to go on my own. I sit at the bar with a book or a magazine and have a quiet meal to myself in the midst of a bustling restaurant. My favourite breakfast item is the sausage and egg roll. A beautifully made brioche bun with one fried egg, a perfectly seasoned sausage patty, melted sharp cheddar (my favourite cheese), lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. Yum! I'm hungry just thinking about it!"

"Lawrence is a wonderful restaurant owned and operated by chef Mark Cohen, his wife, and Ethan Wills, who runs front of the house. Everything is made in-house: the bread, sausages, and even apple cider. The wine list is incredible, as well as the food. Brunch is a not-to-be-missed treat. The French toast is made with housemade brioche that's slowly sizzled in butter and maple syrup! The syrup is 'built-in,' and you've never tasted anything else so perfect. Try the scones as well."
