"Karen Damasco’s dessert is my favorite dessert to eat, hands down. The dish has such complex textures for such an easy recipe. It comes with lemon confit on top and it's part-cake, part-pudding. It's also served with buttermilk ice cream. Karen was nice enough to give me the recipe, but mine never comes out as good as hers."

"Everything here is awesome, but the blue crab jalapeño crostini is my favorite. It is simple and rustic, but full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The thin slice of jalapeño on top gives it the perfect foil for the sweet crab meat."

"I love tripe and Andrew Carmellini does it (among many other things) really well. He braises it with aromatics for hours and tops it with cheese and breadcrumbs. My favorite part about this dish is the egg, because the chef decided to fry it in a city that seems to only slow-poach these days."
