"The masa is nice and tender, and the pork filling is both rich and sweet. La Carta is a popular restaurant among chefs for many reasons, and this is one of them!"
"The chocolate with chocolate frosting is incredibly moist. It has a distinct chocolate flavor made possible by the Valrhona chocolate they use. The cake-to-frosting ratio is also spot-on, making these my favorite cupcakes in Seattle. However, it's the triple-chocolate action that is my favorite."
"This is one of their signature burgers. It comes with a roasted chili relish, jack cheese, and cilantro. What makes it one of my favorites is the quality meat, the structure of the bun, and the toppings, which give it a spicy kick."
"At Tom Douglas' pizza place, this pizza makes the best surf and turf ever. The crispy pancetta with the meaty, briny clam on top is just mindblowing."

"This dish is a classic! It's a combination of Northwest ingredients and Pacific Rim flavors, kicking the flavor of the standard crab cake up a notch. Chef Chris Keff has a good thing going with this one!"

"Nobody really does duck burgers in Seattle. Luckily for me, chef Maria Hines does them really well. They're moist, tender, and very flavorful. When Tilth first opened, it was supposed to be a neighborhood joint. It's now turned into more of a fine-dining place, so I love that she still makes the burgers. It's one of those menu mainstays that is pretty fun food."

"Chef Maria Hines never disappoints, but I especially love her mini burgers served with fingerling chips. They're tasty treats that I seem to order every time I visit."
