"I have been coming here for brunch since… well, long ago! Le Select is an institution in the Toronto restaurant scene, and for good reason. They have been using the best local and seasonal Ontario ingredients long before the trend. Le Select’s wine cellar is deep and varied. It’s hard to go wrong here. Make sure to also get the assiette de charcuterie and confit de canard."

"Yes, I love odd bits, and this is one you rarely see. Slowly braised cockscombs in red wine with cardamom and pine nuts are served with wild mushrooms, and their soft, gelatinous texture makes them unique, appealing, and lip-smacking. Make sure to call ahead to request them."

"I haunt this restaurant about once a week. Lunch always includes an order of chef Ponzo's perfect foie gras terrine (and usually the steak tartare, too). The seasoning and cuisson are always perfection. His brigade of cooks are very lucky to be learning from him!"
