About Lauren Mitterer

Chef Mitterer received her degree in Baking & Pastry from the CIA in Hyde Park, NY in 2004. Upon graduating from the CIA in 2004, Lauren moved to Charleston, to accept a position as Executive Pastry Chef at Red Drum Gastropub where she quickly became a "rising star" in Charleston's culinary scene.

"I love WildFlour pastry. These sticky buns are exhilarating—when you eat one, it’s like you’ve been stuck in the heart with adrenaline. A rush comes over you and you start giggling. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I am also currently hooked on the scones. Scones are like risotto: when they're good, they're unbelievably great!"
