About Dzu Nguyen

Young bartender turned beverage director, continually learning and contributing to the fabric of cocktails and cocktail culture in San Francisco. Began as a busser at a night club and quickly moved up in 5 years under the tutelage of many great managers and mentors. As previously a Molecular Biologist, I try to view cocktails through a more scientific lens in a similar way chefs do.

"R&D for the week: #spring44 gin, grapefruit gastrique, genmaicha, lime, smoked sea salt. I like the nuttiness and slight tinge of smoke with the roasted brown rice tea. Plays well with juicy but bitter grapefruit. Needs one more "rounder" element I think... #divisadero"
