"I rarely desire breakfast for brunch, and this dish is a nice alternative. The chicken fried steak is served up with mashed potatoes and braised greens, and although it's typically served with gravy, I prefer it with some lemon wedges and hot sauce. If I'm in the mood to spank my arteries, I'll go with a side of Hollandaise instead."

"The Country Cat serves brunch seven days a week, making it one of the few places in Portland where you can get brunch on a Tuesday. My favorite dish is the pork chili, which has shredded pork shoulder rather than ground meat; it's perfectly spiced and never dry. When combined with two fried eggs and grits, this makes for a great breakfast."
