Marea

Specializing in high-end Italian food and gorgeous seafood, Marea has two Michelin stars and was a favorite of the late, deeply missed Anthony Bourdain. Its raw offerings read like a mermaid’s dream wedding menu: Capesanti with live scallop, green tomato and asparagus, passera with mediterranean fluke, elderflower and apple. It also has East Coast varietal oysters for days and an array of housemade pasta and seasonal secondi courses so appealing, you’re going to want to bring a group of friends so you can try everything. Our experts say Chef Michael White’s signature dish of Fusilli with octopus and bone marrow is not to be missed.

Wildair

This offshoot of Contra is a more laid-back restaurant with modern takes on wine bar fare. Located in the Lower East Side, enjoy your meal in a cozy, communal atmosphere of exposed brick. The high top tables mean a shorter distance between your plate and your mouth, bonus! Our experts rec you do not miss the shaved watermelon radish and mint and butter toast with sardine, paired with a variety of fun natural wines. And. Do. Not. Skip. The. Darphin potatoes piled high with uni.
