Perla's Seafood and Oyster Bar

With over 15 varieties of oysters available at their Cold Bar, Perla’s offers the best of what the Gulf of Mexico and other sustainable sources for seafood have to offer. You can dine on Oak-Grilled Texan Redfish, Seared Main Scallops and Pan Roasted Nova Scotia Salmon, all with simple preparations to showcase the integrity of the fish itself. Dishes like Bay Scallop Posole Verde and Crab Cakes with Bay Leaf Aioli showcase the Mexican and Creole influences that make Texan cuisine so great. Perla’s sunny beach house vibes just makes the generous Happy Hour with half-off bottles of rosé, half-off lobster rolls, and fifty-cent oysters, that much happier.

Launderette

Launderette, a former laundromat turned into a charming neighborhood café has captured the hearts of its patrons and our Austin Experts. Chef Rene Ortiz’s menu reflects a wide range of American and Mediterranean flavors with dishes like Beet Hummus with Labneh, Deviled Eggs with Black Truffle and Bacon, and a Fried Chicken Sammie with Pickles on Challah. Our experts agree that Laundrette’s beverage program features the best local craft beer, cocktails, and an impressive selection of European wines. With vintage casual Americana vibes and contemporary takes on old classics, Launderette is the perfect place for a classy, yet laid back get together, Texas-style.

Easy Tiger

With an all-star cast of Texan culinary veterans and over fifty accounts, many of which include Austin’s top restaurants and grocery store, Easy Tiger Bake Shop and Beer Garden is the place to go when you’ve got to get your baguette or pain au chocolat fix. What goes great with a big ol’ glass of local brew? Answer: a fresh-baked Bavarian pretzel or housemade sausage. Deeply committed to sourcing locally, the purveyors they work with, from their Barton Springs Mill flour to their Cuveé Coffee, and a myriad of meat and produce farmers, reads like an Austin MVP roster. The crew at Easy Tiger has taken it anything but easy; with three locations throughout Austin to keep up with their fan base, you should definitely hit them up when you’re in town.
